Child:

You might consider providing a range of materials that will be beneficial to the child.  This could range from assorted clothes to school supplies to even a laptop computer. The cheapest way to do this would be to ship the items by surface mail in a drum.  We could purchase the items for the child and ship them out to the child for you.  Cost will include the cost of shipping the items.  Recommended minimum budget for this is $300. 

Family:

a)  Frequently, there are other children in the family that may be looking for a sponsor.  You can help by sponsoring a sibling brother or sister. This would help lift the entire standard of living of the family.   b)  You can also help the family by helping to provide vocational training for their parents or develop / increase an alternate source of income.  Many families have indicated an interest in learning a new trade skill such as sewing, tie-dye, soap-making etc or starting a small business.  This could take the form of covering the cost of this training or providing the funds for a start-up tool kit or microfinance loan.  This is an excellent way to help the family become self-sufficient and we highly recommend this as it puts the family in a better position to take care of themselves and their children. Recommended budget for this is $500 to $1000.

Community:

The communities have different needs and this could range from a new water well to meet the demand, a new classroom for a school to cater for increased population to a vocational training institute etc.  Budget for this starts from $3000.
