Yesterday, April 25th was World Malaria day. This year's theme is "End Malaria For Good". Deaths caused by malaria are declining, lives are being saved and people are living longer. Families are also able to avoid spending meager resources on malaria medication and hospitalization. Your generosity has helped us distribute hundreds of bed nets to families in need.
Statistics state-
Smart investments and strong partnerships have resulted in dramatic progress against malaria in the past 15 years.
Umaru Fofana, the BBC Journalist in Sierra Leone, visited the Creating Pathways Centre in March. He was delighted to see how we are supporting the girls during this transition season in their lives. He interviewed some of the girls and Abu S. Conteh, who oversees the program.
If there is one thing that truly touches our hearts, it is a child or children working hard to make a difference in the world. We are so very thankful to the many children that have shared supplies, letters, photos, raised money, even shared videos for school projects. We are also so thankful to the teachers and adults that didn't discourage these kids as being "too small" or not having enough to make an impact.

Here is a quick update. December was a busy month of exams and motivational talks for the ladies at Creating Pathways Center. January and February were exciting months with the new computer lab opening and classes resuming.
The young ladies at Creating Pathways excitedly started computer training and were encouraged to work hard in all their classes for the remainder of the school year. Your faithful support is helping to make their dreams come true.
Hundreds of kids in Sierra Leone and Cameroon are smiling today - thanks to your donations of books, school supplies and finances that covered shipping costs.
As you know, the quality of education that children receive is affected to a very large degree by the supporting environment. This environment includes the access to essential learning materials - books and school supplies.
Families in Sierra Leone face unprecedented challenges due to rising costs. Inflation makes it difficult for them to afford basic food staples such as rice, cooking oil, and onions.
Extending a helping hand can alleviate a significant burden and provide essential relief to the less fortunate.
