Hello Karen,

We learned at a young age from Dr. Suess and Aesop that even the smallest acts of kindness make a difference.   We appreciate every penny, pen, pencil, book and notebook donated to Develop Africa and your contribution is making a difference and an impact.

Jared is a young man who wanted to make a difference.  He started Jared's pencils at Jared's Pencils for Africa site

and is raising money and collecting school supplies.

Help Develop Africa Think Pink

Develop Africa has partnered with GreaterGood to support the Thinking Pink Breast Cancer Foundation. In December 2014, GreaterGood provided a generous grant to support breast cancer care.

Thinking Pink Breast Cancer Foundation was founded in 2008 by Mrs. Cremelda Parkinson Pratt in Freetown, Sierra Leone. Cancer awareness was next to non-existent in Sierra Leone before Thinking Pink was founded. The foundation is the only active organization in the country trying to bring breast cancer awareness and treatment to all Sierra Leoneans. Read more...

In the video below, Khadija, one of the beneficiaries of this partnership, shares her appreciation for this life-savingsupport from GreaterGood. The funds provided are covering her cancer treatment costs in Ghana.

She buys bags of coals in bulk and then distributes this to customers in the Wellington community. Charcoal is a widely used cooking fuel - with a steady, on-going demand.  Typically all houses cook daily.  Read more...

Families in Sierra Leone face unprecedented challenges due to rising costs. Inflation makes it difficult for them to afford basic food staples such as rice, cooking oil, and onions.

Extending a helping hand can alleviate a significant burden and provide essential relief to the less fortunate.

Help provide relief by donating today!
