Initial Set Up Meeting for the Official Launching of Develop Africa's Microfinance Program
"Enabling the Power of Ideas and Entrepreneurial Energy Through Microfinance Development"
Today, microfinance plays a major role in the development of many African nations. Microfinance consists of making small loans, usually between $100 to $200, to individuals, usually talented youth and women entrepreneurs to establish or expand a small, self-sustaining business. In December 2008, Develop Africa's Director of Development and International Outreaches visited Sierra Leone for an initial set up meeting / launching of our Microfinance program.
The recipients are current local entrepreneurs who are given the opportunity to participate and grow as seasoned entrepreneurs thereby participating in their development and entrepreneurship.
