Mentoring for Future Success

Mentoring sessions empower future leaders with the skills and knowledge they need to be successful.  Mentoring shows mentees the art of the possible, takes the limitations off their thinking, and opens their eyes to the exceptional future that could lie ahead of each of them.

A mentoring session was held on tailoring skills including how to use chalk and draw the outline of the garment on tracing paper and fabric, how to cut the fabric, how to thread the sewing machine, and then how to use the pedal of the sewing machine to finish up the garment.  Learning these basic sewing skills will help the boys mend their own clothes and even go on to make a future career for themselves if they are interested.

In this video, you can see the mentees learning how to operate a sewing machine, how to outline & cut fabric, and how to sew them into garments.

Your support helped make this mentoring session possible.  Ongoing support is greatly appreciated and will enable more mentoring sessions and educational resources for the future leaders of Sierra Leone.

Families in Sierra Leone face unprecedented challenges due to rising costs. Inflation makes it difficult for them to afford basic food staples such as rice, cooking oil, and onions.

Extending a helping hand can alleviate a significant burden and provide essential relief to the less fortunate.
