Empowering Girls Through Literacy: Mariam Reads "Big Blue Bus"

In this heartwarming video, we witness Mariam, a student at the FAWE School, engaging in a computer class activity with her teacher. The scene captures Mariam's enthusiasm as she reads aloud from the story "Big Blue Bus":

Teacher: "What is your name?"

Mariam: "My name is Mariam."

Teacher: "Okay, Mariam. All right. So what story do you choose?"

Mariam: "'Big Blue Bus.'"

Teacher: "Very good, a nice story. Can you read it for me?"

Mariam: "Yes, sir."

Teacher: All right.

Mariam: There was only one bus in this village.  Ebei is very excited. They will travel in the big, blue bus. He could not sleep at night. Ebei was already dressed when his mother comes to wake him. Ebei and his mother walked to the bus stop. They waited for the big blue bus. The bus did not come.

Teacher: That's very good. Thank you. Very good.
