How to Set up a Birthday Fundraiser - Not on Facebook:

If you are not on Facebook (or prefer not to do this on Facebook), you can create a fundraiser - as an individual or a team.  Here are 2 options

Fundraiser Fundraising Tips

  • Set a goal to invite at least 400 people
  • Be aware that possibly only 5 to 15% of the people that you invite will donate
  • Try to get a couple of donations very early as this will "break the ice" and motivate others to donate. Ask a couple of close friends to donate early. 
  • Add updates regularly to the fundraiser - about why people should donate. These could be recent news items about the cause you are supporting. If you need help with content to share, we will be happy to assist/help provide content/links.
  • When people donate, add comments. Thank them openly and warmly. This will encourage others to donate.
  • On Facebook, tag some of your friends who are in a position to donate and let them know you are inviting them – just in case they did not see your invitation
