We greatly appreciate your volunteer service, diverse involvement and generosity in 2014. Together we were able to touch thousands of lives in 2014.  We excitedly look forward to an even greater impact in 2015.

If you made a monetary donation you should have received or will be receiving a tax letter via email this week.  If you would prefer to receive your 2014 tax letter via mail or you do not receive it via email by end Saturday, please email amy@developafrica.org.

Bags and Outfits at DAETI - Sierra Leone

Amid the outbreak of the Ebola epidemic in Sierra Leone, Door of Hope and the trainees of the Develop Africa Empowerment Training Institute initiated a sewing project to raise monies to help children made orphans by Ebola and other family members who lost love ones to the disease.

The project included sewing handbags and outfits for sale. Proceeds are being used to help provide food items - such as sardines, eggs, cheese, juice - and money to people in the community who lost family members to Ebola. Read more...

The students photographed, who are beneficiaries of our project in Freetown, were motivated and inspired by the consignment of school materials they received from Develop Africa. They are hopeful that the Ebola epidemic will soon be under control and pray that they will soon be able to go to their new classes when school reopens. Read more...

10 Girls, Greater Good Scholarship Recipients, Say a Big Thank You
