Develop Africa, in partnership with Saylor, allows students to learn at their own pace and convenience. Through this collaboration, Saylor offered various lecture materials and content covering multiple subject areas. Initial Impact In its first phase, the program benefited three students, showcasing the potential for personalized education. These students attended weekly meetings at the Develop Africa Hub in Freetown, where they accessed Saylor’s content using computers provided by the organization. 

Focus on Practical Learning: The program emphasizes practical knowledge tailored to the student’s interests and career goals. For instance, Marian: Focused on business administration, Marian learned the essentials of developing a business plan, expanded her entrepreneurial knowledge, and understood what it takes to succeed in business. Haja: She dedicated her time to improving her English grammar, particularly mastering various tenses. Additionally, she delved into the history and fundamentals of computer science.  

Sustaining the Initiative. Develop Africa’s commitment to online training remains unwavering. The organization supports students through tangible resources such as generator fuel, internet access, and computers. This ensures that the educational process continues without interruption, reinforcing the sustainability of this impactful program.
