Computer Training Provided to 44 Students in Sierra Leone

Thanks in part to your support six months of computer training was provided to 44 young adults that were directly and indirectly affected by the flood and mudslide disaster in Aug 2017.  Of the 44 students, 28 of them received certificates of completion at a Certificate Award Ceremony held this past month.

Four students were given the opportunity to speak on behalf of their colleagues to show their appreciation for the training received. Each of them was full of praise for the patience shown, professionalism demonstrated and for the conducive learning environment provided.

“We started from a basic introduction, because some of the students in the initial stage did not know the different parts of the computer, right through to internet access,” the program manager said; adding that they can now boast of completing the course in MS Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, Internet among others.

Even a few dollars a month will go a long way. Please also share this with your contacts and invite them to consider supporting this ongoing project.

Families in Sierra Leone face unprecedented challenges due to rising costs. Inflation makes it difficult for them to afford basic food staples such as rice, cooking oil, and onions.

Extending a helping hand can alleviate a significant burden and provide essential relief to the less fortunate.
