Scholarships Making School Possible for Students in Liberia

Many families in Liberia do not have the ability to ensure that their children receive a quality education.

Thanks to your support we are making a difference.  The $40 that you donated was helped provide a scholarship for a deserving child at the Henry Bennah Kingsville School.

Education is the Key to Success for Liberia

Thank you for your support that is giving students who live below poverty level a chance at receiving an education.

Education is the key to success.  Educating these future leaders in Liberia is giving them the ability to get out of poverty. Educating these children will give them and all future generations what they need to thrive.

Since the last report, you have donated a total of $65.00. These funds helped to cover operating expenses at the school - ensuring that the kids learn each day.

New Year, New Hope for Students in Liberia

A new year normally means new resolutions...promises of better health, more exercise, making a difference in people's lives.  We invite your New Year's resolution to include making an impact on the lives of students in Liberia.

Most of these students live far below the poverty line and live with their large families in a one bedroom mud house with no electricity and no running water.

The Future Depends on the Next Generation

Sometimes it is challenging to believe that a dollar makes a difference, but it does make an impact. Every dollar donated is like a pebble being thrown into a pond; that pebble causes a ripple in the water that affects a large area around it. The future depends on us and if we educate the future leaders and empower them with knowledge we will cause a positive ripple effect across the world.

Moving Toward a Better Future

Schools are now closed for the academic year and will reopen in September.

With 84% of the population living under the international poverty line, our support is needed more than ever.  About 1.5 million children are enrolled in primary school in Liberia, but the government said only 20 percent of the children complete 12th grade. Years of civil war have also taken their toll on the nation’s education system. In 2013, nearly 25,000 students failed the University of Liberia entrance exams.
