FAWE Girls are Eagerly Getting Computer Training

Your generous support is helping the FAWE girls get the computer training hours that they need. Your donations help cover the cost of power / electricity and a replacement memory module for one of the computers.

Our support of this computer lab is helping these girls acquire the essential computer skills needed for success in today's computer-driven society. Most of the girls at the FAWE School come from disadvantaged homes that do not have computers.

Site Visit By Sylvester - Discussions With Realtor

At the end of July, Sylvester made a 2 week project visit to Sierra Leone.  The Dream Home was one of the top reasons for his trip.

He reports on his trip as follows:

"The trip provided me with the opportunity to observe, learn, interact and evaluate. I spent quality time with the Dream Home kids as a group and also on a one-to-one basis. I interacted with each of the kids individually. I wanted to understand their fears and dreams.  I wanted to learn more about the challenges that they are facing. I wanted to see what they are experiencing at the home.

Providing Bed Nets to Families in Need

We appreciate your support that has enabled us to provide more families with bed nets. Thanks to your support, ten kids have received mosquito nets and are now sleeping well at night, free from mosquito bites and malaria.

One of the recent beneficiaries pictured in this report, is a boy who lives in the Goderich community.  Goderich is a suburb of Freetown and a fishing town.  Located on the coast / Atlantic Ocean, it receives a large amount of rainfall each year. This rainfall often accumulates in pools and results in an increase in malaria.
