Pay it Forward - Summer Project

Here is an exemplary email from someone special who decided to do something good - for children in Africa.

School supplies

Dear Develop Africa,
This summer my school gave us a project to do, it is called "Pay It Forward." Which means I have to do something great this summer, and I chose to donate school supplies to Develop Africa. I am sending a box full of school supplies and some money for shipping. I used the list on your website as a guideline to purchase supplies. The supplies I bought are:

2 containers of 8 1/2-11 filler paper

  • 4 graph notebooks
  •  4 one subject notebooks
  • 1 container of washable markers
  • 1 container of 18 different colored pens
  • 2 containers of 4 glue sticks
  • 3 containers of pencils
  • 1 pocket dictionary
  • 3 pencil sharpeners
  • 2 containers of 4 erasers
  • 2 pencil cases
  • 4 rulers
  • 3 boxes of crayons
  • 1 container of pencil cap erasers

I hope this is enough to help.

     Emma B.

Thanks Emma.  It certainly is enough to help.  We appreciate this selfless example and love the idea of "Paying it Forward".  We will certainly Pay it Forward and keep this going.

Families in Sierra Leone face unprecedented challenges due to rising costs. Inflation makes it difficult for them to afford basic food staples such as rice, cooking oil, and onions.

Extending a helping hand can alleviate a significant burden and provide essential relief to the less fortunate.
