Special GlobalGiving Challenge Project Update: Thanks to you all we exceeded our minimum challenge goal of $3000 and 75 donors.  The funds will be used to provide scholarships, children's books and school supplies to children in Sierra Leone.   If you missed the deadline or want to make an additional donation towards this, you are welcome to do so here - make a generous donation today

 

 

During this challenge, we will need to raise at least $3000. Funds will go towards an education project in Africa – investing into Africa’s future leaders.  By raising at least this amount Develop Africa will be able to achieve 2 important goals:

   
a)  We will secure the needed funds to provide the much needed scholarships, teaching and school supplies. 
       
b)  Develop Africa will be admitted as permanent organization on GlobalGiving’s website. The advantage of this is that we will gain additional exposure and be able to continue to raise funds for our projects. 

    
The challenge also requires that that we raise the money from a minimum of 75 unique donors. So each and every donation – independent of the amount – will definitely help us reach and surpass our goal of at least 75 donors and $3000. 

   
Time sensitive: This is time sensitive and has to be done between November 1 and November 20^th. This is a competition and a special bonus ($4,000) will be given to the organization that raises the most money. This gives us a good reason to go way beyond the minimum goal – and to try to raise as much as possible.
