We recommend that you carefully select an age-appropriate gift. We discourage any gifts that relate to war, violence etc. Below are some suggested items:

Suggested Items That You Can Include in Your Care Package for Your Sponsored Child:

You could also purchase items from our Amazon Wish List.
This would be easier than shopping, packaging and shipping.

Important: Be sure to specify in gift note box that the gift is from you and who it’s going to / and also send an email).

If shipping the box yourself, please include a note inside the box: “Gift for sponsored child name from sponsor name”.

Alternate Suggestion: We also provide and recommend the option of sending a gift in the form of sending funds to the child / family.  This can be compared to providing a gift card as the child / family.  This option is a great alternative as the family will be able to use the funds to purchase what the child specifically needs or desires.  This could be much better than sending a gift that possibly will not be appropriate or appreciated. To send a cash gift to your sponsored child, you can make an additional donation through our website or through the site where you make your current monthly donations. Be sure to add a note specifying what that the donation is towards a special gift for your sponsored child.

I do not have a sponsored child.  How can I still send a gift?
Yes - we can provide your gift to a child.

Families in Sierra Leone face unprecedented challenges due to rising costs. Inflation makes it difficult for them to afford basic food staples such as rice, cooking oil, and onions.

Extending a helping hand can alleviate a significant burden and provide essential relief to the less fortunate.
