We are happy to announce that thanks to your donations the seedlings we planted are growing very well. At this point, we have achieved this initial goal.

While reforestation in Sierra Leone will continue to be a long-term endeavor, our goal to plant trees on Grafton Highway in Bathurst Village has been accomplished.  

Develop Africa Sierra Leone in partnership with GlobalGiving and other donors planted 200+ trees along the Regent - Grafton High way (Bathurst Village).  Our intervention has helped combat the issue of mudslide disaster, flooding, erosion. It also helped to raise awareness in the Bathurst community on the importance of planting trees.  

In July 2020, a visit was done to see the progress of the project and the trees are growing well. The spaces now looking all green, thanks to your donation and support. You can see the trees in this video

Phasing Out: After a review during these unprecedented times, we have decided to streamline our fundraising efforts. We have decided to phase out some project listings here on GlobalGiving. This will help us to be more efficient and make better use of our time.
