They deserve better than a rickety classroom

The kids at the school in Ghana that we are supporting are super thankful for your support of their educational progress. They are also grateful for the opportunity to have an accessible school.

This means a lot to them in a region where many kids do not go to school. Hundreds of kids are involved in child labor, in fishing, mining and other areas.

That said, they are also very hopeful that their conditions at the school will improve. As you can see from the photos, one of the classrooms is a ramshackle, rickety shed. The students are exposed to the elements and some of them get wet when it is rainy and windy. The tumbledown structure also provides a teacher's common hall.

Shed classroom in Ghana

We certainly would not want our kids to learn in this environment. We are confident that you would not want your kids to learn here too! The teachers also deserve a better common space.

Imagine learning or teaching in this environment! You can deduce that the quality of learning here is less than optimal.

We estimate that it would cost around $6200 to build a new classroom building. Let's together give these kids a conducive environment.

Thanks so much for your kind assistance and continued support for these deserving children in Ghana.  We encourage you to consider starting a monthly recurring donation here. Even a few dollars a month will go a long way. Please also share this with your contacts and invite them to consider supporting this ongoing project.

Families in Sierra Leone face unprecedented challenges due to rising costs. Inflation makes it difficult for them to afford basic food staples such as rice, cooking oil, and onions.

Extending a helping hand can alleviate a significant burden and provide essential relief to the less fortunate.
