Develop Africa Has Just Entered in America's Giving Challenge

DA has just entered in America's Giving Challenge, which gives us a chance to win $50,000! To win, between now and November 7th we have to get the most donations to our cause (every person can donate once per day and have it count as a unique donation). We can also win daily awards of $1,000 and $500 if we can get the most people to donate in any 24-hour period. The great thing about this Challenge is that it doesn't matter how much you give, but instead how much you do to encourage friends and family to get involved in our cause. We all need to come together and start promoting the cause if we want to win.

Donate Now

Facebook Users: Each of us has many, many of friends on Facebook (and elsewhere) who we can ask to donate to our cause. But let's think big too—can you put our cause in your email signature, can you throw a party and get people to donate through the cause when they enter, can you organize other people to go out and fundraise from all of their friends? As you reach out to your friends be sure to tell them why this cause matters to you. The possibilities are endless so let's talk about what we can do to win on the Wall of the cause or by replying to this bulletin. Other ideas - you can post a request to donate on your status, you can help the cause grow by inviting all of your friends…

If you would like to get further involved in promoting opportunities like this we would so like to work with you. Please send an email to info@developafrica.org.

This is a special opportunity to obtain additional funds and to invite your friends and acquaintances to get involved. Your donation is important as every bit helps.  Your involvement at this time can help us get closer to winning.

* Above all - always remember that little drops of water make a mighty ocean. So your donation - even if its $10 every month or every quarter, together with the donations of others will help extend our joint impact. If we all do a little, we will together achieve a lot. Sign up today for periodic or recurring donations. Thanks for doing your part!

Make a donation today or at least plan to do so before the end of the year....

WHAT IS AMERICA'S GIVING CHALLENGE?

The Challenge is a 30-day, national competition that encourages people to leverage their personal networks in support ofapps.facebook.com/causes/103927 the causes that matter most to them. Awards will be given to the nonprofit beneficiaries of the causes that garner the highest number of unique daily donations* between 3pm EDT October 7, 2009, and 3pm EST on November 6, 2009.   Daily prize awards will also be given to the nonprofit beneficiaries of the causes with the highest number of unique daily donations that day.

Note: Anyone can donate (i.e. even without a Facebook account)
