GlobalGiving Girl Fund Campaign 2018!

Every girl deserves a chance to realize her full potential. Not just because she deserves to thrive, but because when she succeeds so does her family, her friends, her community, and the world.

We trust that this resonates and makes sense to you.

That's why the GlobalGiving Girl Fund was started. Every girl deserves a chance to realize her full potential. There is work to do - so let's get to work!

"Help us secure matching funds today"

Today is #GivingTuesday. It's the day as a community, we all give back - together.

Through a generous grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, 1 million dollars in donations will be matched today  at 50% .

This is a huge opportunity for us together to provide hundreds of scholarships to girls.  We need your help - right now as follows.

"End Malaria For Good"

Yesterday, April 25th was World Malaria day.  This year's theme is "End Malaria For Good". Deaths caused by malaria are declining, lives are being saved and people are living longer. Families are also able to avoid spending meager resources on malaria medication and hospitalization.   Your generosity has helped us distribute hundreds of bed nets to families in need.

Statistics state-
Smart investments and strong partnerships have resulted in dramatic progress against malaria in the past 15 years.

BBC Focus On Africa Highlights The Supporting Role of The Centre

Umaru Fofana, the BBC Journalist in Sierra Leone, visited the Creating Pathways Centre in March. He was delighted to see how we are supporting the girls during this transition season in their lives.  He interviewed some of the girls and Abu S. Conteh, who oversees the program.

Children Making a Difference

If there is one thing that truly touches our hearts, it is a child or children working hard to make a difference in the world.  We are so very thankful to the many children that have shared supplies, letters, photos, raised money, even shared videos for school projects.  We are also so thankful to the teachers and adults that didn't discourage these kids as being "too small" or not having enough to make an impact.

Creating Pathways - Computer Lab Update

Hope you are doing well.

Here is a quick update.  December was a busy month of exams and motivational talks for the ladies at Creating Pathways Center. January and February were exciting months with the new computer lab opening and classes resuming.

The young ladies at Creating Pathways excitedly started computer training and were encouraged to work hard in all their classes for the remainder of the school year.   Your faithful support is helping to make their dreams come true.

Empowering Education

Hundreds of kids in Sierra Leone and Cameroon are smiling today -  thanks to your donations of books, school supplies and finances that covered shipping costs.

As you know, the quality of education that children receive is affected to a very large degree by the supporting environment. This environment includes the access to essential learning materials - books and school supplies.

Families in Sierra Leone face unprecedented challenges due to rising costs. Inflation makes it difficult for them to afford basic food staples such as rice, cooking oil, and onions.

Extending a helping hand can alleviate a significant burden and provide essential relief to the less fortunate.
